As AI tools become more seamless and authoritative, injecting human qualities like uncertainty and resistance may hold the key to preserving human agency in human–AI collaboration. Frictionware is a speculative design project that explores how intentionally designed friction can encourage critical thinking through a handheld AI device that exposes uncertainty, reveals its process, and introduces tangible moments of resistance.Creative Director
